The 93 K75RT I just bought has Metzeler ME88 and ME880 on it.
Front:
ME880 date code 2807 tread 5/32 ctr and 6/32 sides. Still has nipples on sides
Rear: ME88 date code 4506 tread 8/32 ctr and 8/32 sides. Still has nipples on sides.
My tire preferences are good stable behavior in the curves with nice turn in and good stable confident handling in the wet and dry. I'm not a knee dragger but enjoy curves. After that longevity followed by the other factors.
When I got my K75C it had nearly new Metzeler Lasertec and I hated them - required continuous corrections in a curve. Replaced them with Bridgestone BT45s and was a happy camper.
I'll be doing solo touring lightly packed, i.e., Holiday Inn Express camping.
So ...
Would you run the ME88 and ME880 tires? If yes, what can I expect from them in performance characteristics?
If replace, what to try? Bridgstone BT46, Avon RoadRider MKll, Metzeler Roadtec 01, or something else?
