I thought some here might appreciate this little ditty, as they ride their modern BMW steeds down the roads as dictated by their electronic map devices. Wasn't certain where this tongue and cheek modern rendition of a Sea Shanty, which pokes some fun at the GPS driven "world on rails", at a time when a man just wants his soul to run free (i.e. of GPS directives).
Enjoy!
Dear Lady of the GPS (The Longest Johns)
Aside: I've become quite addicted to Sea Shanties, Celtic & Irish Folk songs, and the like, over the past several years. Maybe it's just my natural "age regression" back to my brief sailing days in the US Navy, as I grow older. Just so many of these things seem to hit home, particularly if you turn on the lyrics ("CC"). "Captain Halyard" as a channel filled with this stuff.
