I am Ferdie Muller owner of African motorcycle adventures. Having been involved in the wildlife conservation industry for many years, I have built up a wealth of knowledge. With my love of the African Bush, Africa and the creatures that reside there, I have worked and traveled throughout Southern Africa. From Caprivi to the Cape I have sought out ways of educating people in the sustainable use of our natural resources, ensuring that they are there for future generations to enjoy. I qualified as a Level III / SKS(DA) (Specialist Knowledge and Skills in Dangerous Animals) guide with FGASA in 1998 under the guidance of the former Cleve Cheney of the Kruger National Park. I became a FGASA accredited trainer in 1999. I am a fully licensed guide in South Africa, something you should seriously consider when using any guide in South Africa.
By choosing my private tours and safaris you will be guided by one of Africa's most highly qualified guides whose primary concern is the genuine safety, care and comfort of you and whomever will be travelling with him. I have no specific link with one lodge or camp or B&B but have the possibility of organizing unbiased safaris choosing the best locations during the best time of year depending on the group's needs and interests. Living and working in the wilds of Africa is not only my job and business but my way of life. I am therefore up to date with small changes that can make a very BIG difference to the outcome of your tour and safari. As a private guide I have skills and knowledge which, different from many resident guides, allow guests to enjoy activities not normally offered by most other companies. I am part of the elite of the safari and tourism profession. Private guides are individuals with vast knowledge of the bush and African conditions and excellent people skills gained through academic training and several years of experience out in the wild and on the road. They are genuinely passionate about their work and have the ability to turn a seemingly ordinary occurrence into the highlight of a safari or tour. Their presence throughout your safari or tour ensures the highest levels of personal attention. It is widely known that the most important aspect of any safari is your guide as this is the person with whom you will be spending the majority of your time with whilst on safari. Choosing the highest qualified one will by default make a big difference in your experience.
Day 1 ? Arrive in Cape town

Welcome Ferdie. My wife has made one trip to Nairobi some years back for a camera safari, and the only way I have a chance of getting her on the back of a motorcycle with me would be an enticement to see another part of Africa.... :) Good luck with your tours!
