The Marketplace- load speed seems slow, 9-24-24?

It took about 10 seconds for the main marketplace page to load (I have fairly slow DSL) but individual ads popped in place in less than a second.
 
Took me about 40 seconds to get through the "transferring data from bmwmarketplace.org to the site (I have 25 meg up- & download speeds and Win 7 Pro), but once there, seemed to respond as quickly as before.
 
The Marketplace is terrible. I've complained about it numerous times.
Excruciatingly slow loading main page.
Replies to ads are not going through and referral responses are not going through either.

Our dues are funding this. MOA can do better.

When I launch from here, I get the Marketplace almost instantly….just tried it.
Chasing down something that doesn’t effect everyone in the same way, especially not knowing a member’s internet connection and computer maintenance, would be rather difficult.

Speedtest.net says I have >350mbps download speeds and the marketplace loads almost instantly, and the same for jumping around within the marketplace. Tested on three different browsers (DuckDuckGo, Firefox, Safari) on iPadOS, and with Firefox and Edge on Windows 11. If this were a server-side problem it would be affecting 100% of users. Where the delays are hitting users randomly the delay could be from a variety of issues, such as AV or malware extensions or plugins that are checking or verifying the page and its links before loading, an OS or browser issue, a bad WiFi or cable connection, an edge server on the internet having issues, a home router having issues, etc. etc.

All BMWMOA can do is verify that their web service is up and running, which they’ve apparently done, so if one is still having difficulty accessing the marketplace it’s probably time to start testing local resources, trying different OS/browser combinations and flushing caches and disabling plugins or extensions, checking local wireless or wired connections, local router connection, and of course ISP connections. That’s particularly true if the problem is persistently affecting a particular endpoint.
