My test ride on the R1300GS was a flat-foot experience. I've come to learn that the bike I subsequently purchased has Sport Suspension, which adds 20 millimeters to the height - no longer flat-footing. The cost to buy new Standard Suspension springs is over $2K - but I'm wondering if anyone out there with a Standard Suspension model might want to swap? Denver, Grand Junction and Salt Lake City are always on my routes. Cost to change out the suspension and recalibrate is likely $800 per bike.
