what size socket is needed to replace the alternator belt on a 2011 R1200RT bolt on crank

Morning galaxie - no need to remove that nut. Take a look at U-Tube videos. Pull your upper spark plugs to ease engine roation. With a Crescent wench large enough to fit the nut, rotate the engine as you slide the old belt off over the wrench. Slide the new one back on the same way. Easy peasy. Took me longer to remove the front cover.

it is a 34 mm did the belt yesterday thanks for the reply
