Sena 30K - "Connection failed try again later"

Well, I made the apparent mistake of upgrading the firmware in my 30K to version 2.0 (got the email from Sena). That was yesterday; today when I went out i discovered that the thing is apparently constantly trying to connect (I was solo, even in the middle of nowhere this was happening) and that pointless message was interrupting using (iTunes or radio) sporadically - everywhere from 1 second apart (no exaggeration) to 2 or 3 minutes between the messages.

I Googled the problem when I got home - found that it's apparently been an issue even with version 1.x for some folks, but more interestingly the support.sena.com site is totally offline - Google found 3 or 4 listings relsted to this issue on there but they all failed - when I tried to simply go to support.sena.com to log in directly that too failed. My guess is they are being inundated with tons of pissed off riders. The folks that posted thiese kinds of issues at other bike=specific website 9again, sometimes from a year ago on older firmware) didn't seem to have any solutions.

So for the moment I guess the purpose of this posting is to warn other owners of the Sena 30K not to upgrade the firmware.

If during the update process you returned the device to its default setting, then all your previous pairings may have been lost. Not sure this explains the continuous searching for a connection, but repairing with another device may work.

Does your device manager have a Restore Firmware button so you can go back to the original firmware?

Usually after an update it is best to go back to the factory setting or clear all pairings and start from scratch.. YMMV
