Still the same bike, a 1996 R1100R. I'm recently retired, so the bike will get some action again, but instead of thick, slow, hot, Atlanta traffic, It will be in cool mountain air, unfettered by traffic jams, except in leaf season.
Much work to do on the bike before I ride it anywhere, but that's half the fun, right?

So Welcome Back to the MOA, JK, and enjoy your hard-earned retirement! One Word - - - - Pickleball.

Don’t know much re: your naked R-Bike, but I do know John Hermann was a very big fan {The King of the Alps - RIP, John}.

You’ve got some great roads over yonder to perfect your rusty skills. I'm presuming they’re rusty... :brow

Can’t say enuf about some ‘3rd party’ Training. There’s always the BMW Motorrad Training Center in Greenville, SC.

We’ve also gotten very good support from MotoMark in Burlington, NC.

Welcome (back) jkirsch! I stayed in Franklin a number of years ago for a Honda VFR gathering. I envy your riding options and proximity to the end of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Pictures of the bike and scenery are encouraged.

Fresh off the trailer.

Pretty dirty at that point, leaf blowers in the parking deck in Atlanta are the culprit, in spite of the bona-fide BMW cover on the bike.
That is Jack Knob in the background, I believe. Jane Knob is behind that white pine.
The house (not pictured) used to be a slaughterhouse. Franklin Packing Company was its former name.
