R1300GS Grip and Seat Heater ranges

Asking for a riding buddy, as I don't have an R1300GS. With a GS911 is is possible to reconfigure the bike's heated grip and seat ranges from 3 possible settings to 5 possible settings? He says level 1 is too low, level 2 is too high, and level 3 is extremely hot. He's looking to change that, and while I don't have a GS911 either, I have a MotoScan. If it's possible with GS911, I'll check to see if MotoScan can do it too. Or if there's a possibility to change the percentage/wattage output of the 3 levels, that might work too.

If anyone has tried it and has information on this, that would be great.

Dunno if this would work on that bike, but several years ago, Doug Raymond added a 1.9 ohm resistor (forget the wattage, but probably fairly high) to his R1150 schematic... you could possibly do something similar to this -

Not yet. I have changed it on both of my XR's, but Hex has not added the capability to change the heated grip settings or a lot of the other settings for the R1300GS yet. Every time I get a software update I check since I want to mimic the settings on my gen 2 XR (added levels, custom increments, etc.).
