R1250RS Rear End Clean Up

I've had my RS for about six weeks. I've only put 300 miles on it thus far (too hot & humid). I love virtually everything about the ride. The looks are similarly exceptional. However, I find the license plate frame and reflector appendage to look downright grotesque. I have considered merely lobbing off the reflector with a hacksaw then cleaning the surgery up with a file. Does anyone have any suggestions for dressing up this hideous Charlie-Foxtrot?

One of the moderators will move this to Wetheads later on for you.

Good luck.

It will look better if you cut it off even with the bottom of the license plate.
We added a BMW Mud guard (not available in the US) then added a piece of vinyl flooring so it extends down to the reflector.
