R1200R USA vs International Specifications

Sounds like the BMW US site needs an update. The original hexhead engine has a single camshaft mounted lower in the head that uses small followers and pushrods to activate rockers that open the valves. The "camhead" engine has camshafts - two of them per cylinder (hence DOHC) that sit higher in the head, which almost directly act on the valve (no pushrod, no rockers) through a finger follower where one side rides on the cam lobe, the other side has a semi-sphere (1/2 sphere) that presses down the valve stem opening the valve, and the sphere comes in different sizes so the clearance can be adjusted.

Whew.

Short story - BMW Motorrad US website is screwed up. Not a surprise.
