R1100RT starting problems

Has anyone had any experience with starting problems. My R1100RT will start and run only a few seconds at a low idle of
less then 1k RPM. Problem is the same with choke in 1st position.
This is starting in neutral with the side stand up and on the center stand. It will start if you keep the choke fully on until the
RID shows 1 bar on the temperature gauge. Or if the throttle is
held open until same temperature is displayed. After warm up
the bike runs very well.

Any input would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem on my R1100GS. I raised idle by adjusting the fuel enricher (choke) cable. Works good now.:)

I had a problem with my engine wanting to die at start up. I'd changed out my spark plugs, switching from NGK's to Bosch. Put the old plugs back in and it ran like a top. On another site, there was a discussion regarding a heat range on certain plugs. Just a thought!
