Post a pic of your S1000

Pics of my '22 S1KRR after TST industries tail lights and an Akra Ti Header. Looking forward to riding this season.

Sweet ride! How do you like the akro header? It’s on my wish list.
The header is nice, but it was a pain to install. It took me about 10 hours to do it lying on my back on the garage floor because I don't have a lift. Note that the ten hours is including all the trips I made to Lowes for tools and such. I did it spread out over a weekend. The header made it a bit louder but it also ended up causing popping on decel, which I don't care for. Some people like that and actually tune their stuff to do it. When I got my break in service done it seemed to me that some of the popping went away though. I don't really notice any seat of the pants performance increase, but the bike does handle a bit better as dropping the factory exhaust loses about 10 pounds I think.

my reason for wanting the akro header is more esthetics, get rid of the big cat underneath the bike. If and when I do get it I would do the BT moto tune at that time also. I don’t care for the popping on deceleration also, would rather not bring attention to myself. The bike does enough on its own.

I think the motorcycle looks way better without the giant lunchbox catalytic converter under it. However, it could maybe use a larger belly pan to hide some of the exhaust. Though some people don't like that. I do like the look of the header though. It is difficult to work with though. Any time it needs cleaned I have to use wd-40. I spray it on the rag instead of just spraying it all over the headers. You can't use brakleen for some reason, I guess it leaves a residue. As for the popping on decel, several months have gone by since break in service. It seems to be less annoying, but it is still there. I don't care for it but I'm too lazy to get a tune. Additional note, I've heard it's best to get a tune anyway, because without cats you don't need to do the insanly loud warm up when you first turn on the bike.
