I think the last gallon of gas ever burned will be in a classic flying brick K-bike. Pretty sure about that. 
Here's my 2003.
In this current market, you can't give these things away.
I'm going to be moving in a few months and I'm only taking one of my two bikes with me.
I have a bit over $6K into this and I've been advertising it nationwide on 4 different venues at $3500 without a single "serious" response.
Just annoying questions from people that are not buying.

That’s a very pretty bike.
I sold a 2000 K12RS this winter for $3,250. Mine had 49k miles, with a fresh clutch and recent regular service. It wasn’t as nice as yours cosmetically, but they all look pretty good to me. I wonder if having the whizzy brakes is off putting to buyers of these older bikes (it would be to me). I only sold mine because I’m getting older and the riding position is too forward for my desire.

Painting has begun on the 87 k75s (original owner).
Special handwork to make a flat finish. A mammoth of a project. Meanwhile added Probrake rear sets. Reduced the foot pad for the rear brake paddle to better join in function and aesthetic with the Probrake set. Once all of this is finished I'll post pics but in reality, pics will not give the bone-like appearance justice. Pure form is the intent.
