Howdy Y'all! New Member. Chose a 2005 F650GS as my 1st bike ever 2 years ago. Some background, I took the MSF class as a way to figure out if this lifelong nagging itch to motorcycle was something I could scratch quick and move on. I'm 57. NOPE! I bought this F650GS with 2700 miles on it. Has 22000 on it now :). Haven't gone too far away from home in CT, just take a ride any chance I get. It was a police bike and the story goes that there were 1200GSsand this bike only got out for parades. All the lights for it came in a box when I bought it. It's great. I've learned a ton on it. Looking to ride it to the VT rally in 2026 and meet some of you.

Seasons Greetings to Mr CTPapa from the Tennessee River valley in N-AL!
They couldn’t have sold that many F650GS-P’s here in the US. Hope it serves U well for as long as necessary! FWIW, I bought my first BMW new in 1975 (it’s still running and parked out back). So don’t be in a big hurry to get rid of this bike that you’re thoroughly enjoying. Just add to your inventory... :nod Have a great time at your first BMW MOA International Rally! :thumb🏕️

Very nice! Welcome to the world of Bring More Wallet from the capital district of New York State. We'll be at the rally in VT too (first timers also). See you there....or sooner on the road.

Welcome from Southwest VA. Yes, the scratching can last for years! 😆 It's nice your first rally won't be to far away. My first rally was the Johnson City, TN rally in 2009 and it was about an hour from my house. Looking forward to Vermont as well!
