...a very proud owner of my first BMW- a pair (probably only for a very long time)

... had been looking for the past year for a classic, got close to pulling the trigger on several, glad I waited. Found a gentleman South metro looking to sell a couple together- couldn't resist. Both ran last fall, no gas in tanks, one has dead battery. Will test this week hopefully both in running condition.

Welcome to the forum! The BMW pair...one to ride and the one to wrench on! We have a Vintage section on the forum, so if you have any questions, drop in and ask away. If you have a decent photo, show us what you got!!

What are you plans in terms of rebuild? As you're probably aware, these pre '70 models don't have oil filters, so the critical part of that system is way deep inside the engine.

Yes, slingers. No idea what I'm going to do but learning is half the fun. Yes will post pics tonight. Both will be ridden, both will be loved.

Welcome neighbor! I see you saw my recent thread as I am new to the forum as well.

As far as bikes, I am on the other end of the spectrum with a 2015 R1200RT on order. It is putting along on a boat but hope to see it before snow flies!

Nice! If only I had the $$$. Besides I love old things that have some history.
