Moto2 on Fox Sports 2

If you watched the Moto2 race last night on Fox Sports 2, you're probably as ticked off as I am. With only a few turns to go in the race and a tight battle for third place, Fox jumped to a commercial and didn't return until the race was over. Unfortunately, this seems to be the norm for Fox and their motorcycle coverage. The inexcusable part is that the race was being shown tape-delayed, so the commercials could have been put wherever the action on track was slow.

I encourage everyone who's fed up with Fox's coverage to contact the network and express your frustration. I've also sent letters to the FIM and Dorna Sports recommending they start looking immediately for another US broadcaster.

We have to pay more for the FOX2 with Dish Network...not feeling it as the rates are already stupid inflated.
NASCAR made a big deal about being on FOX 1 yesterday...times sure are a changin'.
Yeah, seems they have no clue about broadcast continuity vs. commercial revenue ... maybe they do not care? At least the NASCAR broadcast has a split screen after some point when they drop a commercial flurry in .

Yeah...I hear ya. Not too mention Fox Sports 2 is not even in broadcast in HD. At least it isn't here with Time Warner :banghead

I totally agree. I was extremely annoyed. What a bunch of morons running that broadcast. Letters sent to Fox Sports for this insult. I really miss the way SPEED used to present these races which wasn't perfect but worlds better than yesterday. At least I get Fox Sports 2 in HD on Directv.

Expect the response from Dorna to be, "We offer a subscription to all MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 races for 99 euros per year."

In a GP weekend, I estimate about 6 hours of coverage PER CLASS. All practices, all qualifying, all warm ups, all races. No commercials. Intelligent commentary. And you can watch it at your convenience. I've had this service for 3 years and it is stupendous. As an example of what is available to you, visit www.motogp.com/en/videos/spoiler+free

You can thank me later. :laugh

I suspect the number of people viewing a Moto2 race is less than those watching a rerun of "The I Love Lucy Show" being run opposite of the Super Bowl. Enough over the top indignation and angry letters to Fox just may convince them that they will be better off showing something like Jai alai.

a yearly subscription to Motogp.com is a lot cheeper than the sports package i have to have to watch it on TV for the season... and I can watch ANY race from the archives...

ESPN shows cheer leading competions, fer cryin' out loud. Jai alai isn't out of the question...

+1 on the motogp subscription. I have had it for years due to the horrible way speed and fox treat the motorcycle races. Broadcast channels suck for motorcycle coverage with one exception, Bein sports is great for wsbk.
