BMW Canada appoints Brand Communications Manager and Regional Manager.

Whitby. BMW Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Randy March to the position of Brand Communications Manager, effective January 1, 2008. Under the direction of Kevin Marcotte, Director, Marketing, Randy will be responsible for leading the BMW Brand Communications team to continually enhance the BMW brand image, increase brand awareness and support sales areas through Advertising, Media, Interactive, Point of Sale, Relationship Marketing and Partnerships.
Randy holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing Major, from Brock University and began his career with BMW Group Canada in 1998 as a Systems Analyst for BMW Canada Financial Services. In 1999, he became a Direct Marketing & Internet Specialist. In 2001, Randy assumed the role of eBusiness Manager for BMW and MINI. In 2003, Randy accepted a role as Marketing Manager for BMW Financial Services and most recently Randy was Insurance and Banking Manager, also for BMW Financial Services.
Randy succeeds John Cappella who was appointed as Regional Manager, Central Region effective January 1, 2008. In John’s new role, he will report to Joe Lawrence, Director, Sales and will be responsible for assuring high-quality, high-performance market representation in the Central region.
John has held various positions in BMW Canada. Prior to his most recent role of Brand Communications Manager, John was eBusiness Manager where he managed the development of BMW.ca, MINI.ca and other customer facing BMW Group Canada websites.
John started his career at BMW Group Canada in 1999 as a member of the National Sales department. There he was responsible for the development of sales planning and vehicle distribution systems and processes, including annual Retailer volume budgeting and forecasting.
John has both a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University.
BMW Group Canada wishes Randy March and John Cappella all the best in their new roles.
