The BMWMOAL 2nd Sat R-2-E in August is going to the Shoals Shack in St Florian, AL (BYO camping chair just in case). P&K rode our route on Aug 3rd, and it worked as expected. We enjoyed our chosen sandwiches: P= authentic Cajun Shrimp Po'Boy & K= a grilled Chicken Genoa {pesto-seasoned} sandwich (she savored every bite). We also shared a good portion of French fries; all for $21. >> https://www.facebook.com/theshoalsshack/ << The HSV group will arrive shortly after 11:00 rain or shine. Two picnic tables would provide room for maybe 16 {depending on the early Lunch rush}.

T’was a good turnout for the MOAL 2nd Sat R-2-E to St Florian, AL today. Six bikes left the Vintage breakfast in HSV @0830, and everyone apparently enjoyed my route and some very comfortable temperatures for August in north Alabama (from low AM 70’s to Hi 80’s in PM). And they thought the food was plentiful and delicious at the Shoals Shack! Eventually, twelve folks savored their personal choices outside the venue at two umbrellaed picnic tables. I enjoyed a big S/S fully-dressed steak and cheese und K enjoyed her Jalapeño Popper chicken sandwich with a side of fries for ~$30. Todd chose to sample the many offerings to include: breaded fried eggplant-fries, peel&eat large shrimp, breaded cheese curds, and the ice cream-topped Bread Pudding. He thought he had splurged just a bit too much! Sorry y’all missed out on this particular weekend, but I promise we’ll do it again next spring because it was That Good!
