I am leaving Wednesday too. But I am coming up from Jersey. Probably won't suit your plans. I am sure all routes to the rally from the west will have tons of bikes on their way that you can tie in with. Doubt than many would protest. By the way...Welcome. Glad to have ya.

Am leaving from Bucks County PA and am looking for some company on hte way to VT. Where in NJ are you leaving from? I am planning on leaving Thursday AM, but could be talked into an earlier departure. Staying at motel so camping site not an issue. riding for years, but new to BMW.

I am leaving from Southern Nj on Wed the 19th, early. Tentative plans are to pick up some NYC buds near the NY state line, it's still morphing on that end right now. Avoiding Manhattan, and taking 287 to 87 route with the Essex ferry for fun and hoteling it one night before the rally opens.
