Oh, I'm not bothered, but there are times when both sides get close enough I can't fit Sybil through without scraping. I see these pinch points head, and adjust speed to reach them when they are staggered. It's automatic now after years of commuting both in surface street stop & go and on the freeways.
Lately most folks make more room if they see you. Some do the opposite but it’s rare and usually the person next to them makes more room. My rules are if it’s moving 35 or up I am a car and then if it slows to 25 or below I filter at no more than 35. You can stop in a pretty short distance from 35. I would probably take the car more often if I couldn’t share lanes.
