I agree!! I am a big fan of Giant Loop equipment. I've got their tank bag and grip covers on my 700. I hope to add their soft saddle bags some time in the future once they work into the budget....:)

Where will it be?

I don't care where it starts; this year I plan on being there for my first GS Giant Stampede! I plan on attending the Colorado Peak to Peak (I think that's the name of the rally) the week before and then heading where ever the Giant start location ends up.....

That would be the Top of the Rockies at Paonia, CO. Jeff is leading the ride from TOR or TOTR.

Great photos from Big Horns...

There are days and days of trails and back roads up there.
Thanks for the photos. Don't share too many. People will find out about how great the Big Horns are!

Top O' The Rockies (TOR) Ride to GSG Rally

To all interested parties or Partiers P:wave who are attending the TOR and subsequently riding to the GSG Rally:

This is Jeff de Wispelaere letting you know that the route that several riders and I have decided on, will in fact be a TWO DAY route that leads us to Baggs, WY on Saturday 07/18 and will end us up in Dayton, WY (site of the GSG Rally) on Sunday 07/19. The route will be somewhat circuitous but will include some off-road and on-road excursions such that we can see the sights that Colorado and Wyoming have to offer. If you're interested, please see the signup sheet here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MLTtfpE3g4tHPoS-xp0BooKyZ3Nb-WBuihkMIv2_WQ0/edit#gid=0

This signup is not mandatory, but is information that is pertinent to rider safety and well being (I'd like to think that we care about you actually..)

Thanks for looking and hope to see you at the TOR and the GSG RALLIES!!!

On the way to the Big Horns

If you're riding to the Big Horns from the east, I suggest riding across the southern border of Montana from Ekalaka to Decker (Decker is approximately 50 miles from the Big Horns). The route will take you through a landscape of forest parklands, chalk buttes, badlands and wild prairie.

A great place to start is to spend a night a Medicine Rocks State Park (ancient waters carved the sandstone rock into fascinating sculptures) located just north of Ekalaka. The next day ride to the southeast through the Custer National Forest to Capital Rock (yes, there are trees in eastern Montana) and then cut west towards Hammond and then Biddle. From Biddle ride to the south a few miles and then west to Moorehead in the Powder River Valley, Quietus and finish at the Tongue River Reservoir (Decker).

Here's a nice website if you're looking for something that's been lost but can still be found in Montana: http://www.lostandfoundmontana.com/
