Intermittent brake failure light and speedometer failure

tprice

2007 K1200GT w/ABS. Recently the brake failure light flashes while riding. I braked hard a couple of times when I saw it and there doesn't appear to be any brake issues. The speedometer needle dropped to zero several times on my last ride. Could this be a sensor, wiring harness or connector issue or something more complex?

Thank you.

Best way to diagnose for sure would be to scan for fault codes with a GS911 tool or have a dealer do it. It does however seem quite like a faulty wheel speed sensor. I'm not sure which one the bike uses for the speedometer though.
