Interface for Music and Radar...HELP!

...I need help.
I am interested in being able to hear my Radar and music with helmet mounted speakers. Communication is not required. Just tunes and speed trap warnings.
I have seen the speakers available and know what will work with my helmet.
What I am after is help with interfacing the radar unit and MP3/Ipod. The comm units have multiple inputs but for me the units are more than I need.
Is there any unit that will do just what I need?
Could fabricating a unit be possible with parts from say, Radio Shak?
Anybody have any expeirence with this?
