Just saw this very fine Canadian movie and thought I'd just mention it here. It really did convince me to take the Canadian route to Redmond next year. Anyway, take a peek at this leader and maybe you'll have the opportunity to see the full movie. - Bob

Bob, Where's the "badland" area shown in the trailer? I've done the Highway 1 route from the Georgian Bay to Vancouver, but I don't recall any badlands.

Good point. Maybe some members out west can comment better on that one. We have lots of 'out of the way' spots that require journeying off the Trans Canada and this might be one. I am thinking that this location is southwest of Calgary, Alberta in the Crows Nest pass area:dunno - Bob

BTW - Highway 1 (Ontario to Vancouver) is a great trip. I did it back in 1988 with a side trip up to Edmonton. Of course, I also like US 2 across our northern plains.

#1,is the Trans Canada highway, also known as the Trash Can....
South of #1 is hwy 3,where the pics were probably taken at.

That's my take on it. Great ride from Medicine Hat, Alberta on #3 and ending just outside Hope, British Columbia..... 730 miles. Of course lots of alternatives through the BC mountains but I think that the film's route was likely on #3. - Bob

Darn, I stopped at an airshow in Medicine Hat, but then detoured back to Route 1. Oh well.

Do you think this movie will be released in the U.S. ? if not would someone please let us know when and were we can purchase it online. thanks...

The Badlands are at Drumheller, Alberta. Home of the world famous Royal Tyrrell Museum. Its where they have found all the fossils, and Dinosaurs.

Martin. :ca

The badlands stretch for quite a distance through Alberta from north west of Drumheller southeast towards Brooks. They were formed by the Red Deer River, kind of a mini Grand Canyon. A few nice motorcycle roads in the valley, many more if you are on a GS and venture off the ashphalt. Be sure to stop in at the Rosedeer Hotel in Wayne, a popular motorcycle spot with its winding road leading to it and the 11 single lane bridges you cross in only a few kilometers.

And be sure to visit Dinosaur Provincial Park near Brooks.

Sure, make one motorcycle movie with some nice scenery, and you Canadians have to come out of the woodwork, crowing about your lovely country.

It's about time. :)
