Hello from NW Arkansas!

I just picked up a gently used 2019 F850GS last week and I have spent a few days riding it around NW Arkansas and trying to learn the different settings for the suspension and throttle mapping. I traded a Tenere 700 and my other bike is a Suzuki DR650. This bike is the 10th bike I have had in about 17 years, but certainly the most "technical" bike I've ever owned but I like how much more "planted" this one feels. It certainly doesn't feel like a 500 pound bike!

Anyway, this is a bit of a military retirement gift for myself, and I'm going to love learning about it!

Welcome to the MOA Forum, Big Mac!
Congrats on military retirement; guess that makes you relatively young compared to most of us on here. :type Which branch? Hope your new(ish) F850 serves you well in the months/years to come. I enjoyed over 100K on my old F800GS all over the lower-48, so I’m sure your selection will take U wherever U need to go. :nod
Way back when, we both took the 2-day BMW off-road course in Greer, SC to improve our confidence in the dirt; it worked over the years. The MOAF will even give you a Training stipend to dust off the rust and maybe learn some new skills. :thumb
