Hello from New York North Country

New member
I am a new BMW MOA member. I just purchased in April a 2024 R 1300 GS Trophy. This is my second BMW Motorrad bike as I previously owned a 2022 F 750 GS. I am really enjoying the upgrade!
I live in the Plattsburgh, NY area on the western side of Lake Champlain, 25 miles South of the Canadian border, not far from the Adirondacks or Northern beautiful Vermont. Btw, if some of you are in the area and want to ride with me, I'll be happy to. I will be posting pictures of the bike soon.

Welcome to the MOA and forum.
I went to a Forest Technology and Land Surveying School 100 miles SW of you, Wanakena, and lived a couple years 100 miles SE of you, Woodsville, NH.
You live in a great area for riding.
We need pictures of the past F750GS and new R1300GS :)

So Good Choice on your newest Motorrad Machine! That oughta scratch that annoying itch to go eXploring... :brow

We've visited your neighborhood on our NE US ride to capture National Park stamps in many states on our IBR Adventure. Don't envy your winters, but now you've got the bike to conquer Mud Season throughout the entire year!

Enjoy all your ADVentures, Stirgo. :beer

I see you were able to get the Vario side bags for your R1300GS.
I like the smoother and rounded corners of the new Vario cases.
Yes. I ride with straps around them (removed for the static picture) until the recall is cleared.

I thought a couple of straps were a good idea- in general.
