Hello from central NC

just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Got myself a 2026 R1300 GSA, traded in my 20’ Road Glide and R1250R. After being a Harley hard head for several years decided to try something different last year and bought a 2020 R1250R. Took it to the mountains few times including 4-day trip to the tail of the dragon and surrounding areas and was sold on BMW performance and agility. Rode the road glide less and less after that trip and finally decided to get a “do it all” bike. Bought the GSA 3 weeks ago and just can’t stop riding it, so awesome. Never thought I’d like an automatic bike, but here I am loving the ASA.

Oscar, welcome to the group. Central NC? Where? I'm right near T'ville, ride just about every day. There's a good BMW chartered club, the BMW Tarheel Travelers. Majority of members in the Raleigh - Fayettevillr area, but a bunch here in the Piedmont too. https://www.tarheelbmw.org/ There is also a very small local/online group, Triad Riders. https://www.facebook.com/groups/694743342350075 we meet for breakfast and a ride 1st Sunday every month. Any other rides posted and gather as anyone feels like it.

Congrats on “pulling the trigger” on that multi-purpose GSA, Oscar. Hope it takes U everywhere U haven’t been yet! Looks like you’re already eXploring some back-country roads & rivers... NC has some great roads in the western mountains. Thank you! Riding my old R1250R in western NC/eastern TN was the main reason I finally decided to switch, Harley was very comfortable on long rides, BMW was just a lot more fun in twisties and unpaved roads so I wanted a “do it all” bike that would be both comfortable, versatile and still fun.
