Got an email this morning that started with this:

and ended like this:

I first met Helge at the MOA National in Missoula, 1998. He was just getting started on the "rest of his life" after riding around the world for 10 years. I was helping him load his multi-image presentation system back into his van, after experiencing his amazing and unique narrated presentation... probably the best "show" I've ever seen about adventure riding.

We next crossed paths in Ocala, where he was the motorcycle adventure riding and camping subject matter expert... and event photographer. (What a genius Laurence Kukendall was!)

This was an awesome event, the ride was world-class! (I was the only rider, outside of Anton Lariader, that didn't fall once... and this included Helge and Jimmy Lewis!)

I went on to ride with Helge at several other subsequent events, super nice guy. I hope to see him at future get-togethers. Major, MAJOR talent...

Best wishes for the future, Helge!

I have the GlobeRider DVD on F800GS service, it is really well done.

Hope it all works out for Helge.
