Got curvy roads?
Just joined the BMW MOA after hearing about it from my local club members. New to the BMW world with an 09 R1200rt. What an incredible ride. Traded up from a 99 Katana 750 this last fall. Enjoying the upright riding position tremendously! Ready for the cold, ice and snow to break so I can get out again. Soon I will be looking for a taller windshield.

Hi Will! Good to have you here! Nice bike you have there; a great tourer and a twisty lovin' sport bike when called upon! Don't worry, warmer weather is comin'!

Hi Will and welcome aboard! You do have a great bike in the RT...I am with you on the warmer weather. Like you I can't wait to get back at it! :thumb Ride safe!

Hey Will, you should join the group in April, for the Branson Blitz,it's always a fun time, and right in your home state.

Hi Will. Don't let the weather stop you from riding. You are now a BMW rider. We ride in all sorts of weather. Time for you to farkle that beast with some power outlets for heated clothing. Then you can ride regardless of the temperature.

Hi Will, I'm in Lawrence and a relative newcomer to this forum as well. Maybe I'll see you at the KC events. Will be 43 here today--I'm getting out for a ride!

Welcome

Hi Will.
I had a 2000 R1100RT with low miles purchased 2 years ago. What a great bike and probably the nicest tourer in the BMW stable. You've got the electric windshield, don't you? In it's upmost position, it should provide you with plenty of cover, but then I live in SoFl, where we only get down to the 30s once or twice a year. Enjoy your bike.:wave
