His call-out of the C3 bearing clearance as being needed for certain installation methods hits home for the work I do. I just emailed him a treatise on how BMW got this wrong on some final drive designs.

These subjects are over my head, but I had the distinct honor of sitting at the same dinner table as Kevin at Daytona, at a party BMW Motorrad threw when they brought over their World Endurance Race Team. Matthew Miles of Cycleworld and Mr. Mitchell of BMW, joined us too. It was a great evening, and Kevin is a pretty normal guy.
