2010 Backroads 15th Anniversary Summer Sojourn
August 2-6, 2010
"Like our 10th Anniversary, we're doing something a bit different and bringing you to the infamous Dragon-Deal's Gap. For those of you who have never done it, it must be done. For those of you who have, enjoy the other great roads that abound in this area, where they actually name their twistilicious pavement." For the motorcycle enthusiast there is the renowned Tail of the Dragon on Hwy. 129, the challenging Hellbender 28 that saddles up lakeside for twenty-two miles along Fontana Lake and the Cherohala Skyway, a fifty mile ridgeline dream ride.
Staying at Fontana Village,
Fontana Dam, NC
www.fontanavillage.com
828-498-2211
Rooms $69/night + tax. Must ask for Backroads Rally when booking.

2010 Backroads Fall Fiesta

Staying at the Gray Ghost Inn,
West Dover, VT
www.grayghostinn.com
800-745-3615

P.S. While you're at it. Backroads e-mail address is editor@backroadsusa.com, and phone is 973-948-4176. $40 gets you an annual subscription to the magazine where you'll learn about a ton of upcoming events, read about new bike product reviews, and see letters and stories from fellow riders. A great publication. (I am in no way affiliated with Backroads.) Their website and current issue is available on http://www.backroadsusa.com.
Eric and I have already made our reservations for North Carolina in August (so we can actually experience what you guys all saw at the BMW nationals), and for our 4th year in Vermont. Hope to see you there!
