ASC Retrofit for 2013 RT

Hello, I've been on oilheads for the past 30 years and am now the proud owner of a '13 RT 90 yr edition. It's a great bike and I love everything about it except it doesn't have ASC and TPS, although it seems to have everything else. I'd like to retrofit ASC but I really don't want to shell out the $600 or so for a new switch that I'll never use, I have a 2014 Moto Guzzi with traction control set on the highest level and I've never even considered turning it off. My question is: Has anyone had a dealer retrofit ASC w/o adding the new switch? Specifically 2010-13 MY as I believe the previous gen switch is standalone and a lot cheaper. I know that technically you don't need the switch to code ASC but BMW's protocol seems to be to demand a switch upgrade when coding ASC. Alternatively, if anyone has been able to add this themselves by turning it on with Motoscan or similar that would be even better, but I'm not sure if this is an actual software download or simple coding.

Last question: Is TPS available for retrofit? It seems like I could just turn it on using Motoscan and add the TPS sensors to the wheels with the next tire change but I don't know where the receiver is and if it's standard or optional equipment.

TIA

This post had 3000+ views and zero answers so I'm guessing people are interested in how to do it but there's not much experience out there with getting it done. Total cost was about 2X what I had hoped (always is) at $915. That involved ordering a switch from Latvia via eBay and installing it myself and then paying my local BMW dealer to download the necessary software. I looked for a used switch for a while and finally gave up, only one switch ever came up in my searches and it looked pretty rough. The switch installation was pretty easy but time consuming since all forward body work and the tank had to be removed, the Clymer manual had very clear instructions on this. My bike already had ESA so I didn't have to hunt around for the ESA / ASC connector but if your bike has neither then the connector will probably be taped up in the main harness near the main ECU under the tank. There appears to be a few different part numbers for the switch that will work, I used 61318550037, it has ESA / ASC and cruise control.

I've found out that OEM TPMS is not a retrofit option for the 2013 gen RT so I've asked Santa (aka My Wife) for a Fobo kit for Christmas. The YouTube reviews are all positive and you can run several bikes from the same app.

Thanks for filling us in on how things worked out. :thumb
