Under what conditions were the function of the air filter choke utilized on vintage models so equipped ?
It has an easily accessible lever on the filter housing that open or closes 4 air passages.
On page 17 of the manual, it says to use the sliding lever if the temperature is below freezing. Generally you would just use the ticklers to prime each cylinder for starting.
