Air Bag Recall Round Two????

88bmwjeff

SF Bay Area
Just when you thought the whole air bag risk and recalls were behind us, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration held a public hearing Thursday to field commentary and testimony on inflators made by ARC Automotive Inc. of Knoxville, Tennessee, which supplies the devices to air bag makers and several major auto companies. The U.S. government appears poised to order a recall of millions of air bag inflators due to a manufacturing flaw that could send metal shrapnel rocketing through a car's interior. Sound familiar--think Takata airbags. Millions of vehicles would be affected.

Never liked the damned things any way.
If you are wearing a belt, you don't need a bag.

Not accurate. Side airbags protect where seat bags provide little protection. Airbags protect when seatbelts are not worn and enhance protection when the are.
