Folks I am looking for a printable PDF of the wiring diagram for my newly acquired 1974 R90/6. I have found one for the later models 75 and 76, but I understand the 74 is different. Please let me know if you can point me to this and thanks in advance.

Seems some discussion in the past pointed mostly to those from EME or Euromoto Electrics.

Here's a .jpg; don't know the original source; if it doesn't save or expand half-decently, I can send it to you directly via a PM.

I really like the wiring diagrams from Prospero's Garage (in the EME link above). These are laminated so they stay clean. I have been using these for a good many years.

I will give a big thumbs up to regarding the schematics sold by EME as being about the best available. Wire colors are very good, and the layout of the parts is easy to follow. Added is the pin numbering of relays and such.

In 50 years of dealing with airheads, I have collected a bunch of schematics and can safely say that 99% of the time each has had some advantage over another.

BMW had the habit of doing minor wiring changes and not publishing them as quickly or as easily to find. So sometimes even the best diagram might miss something. Best bet if anyone is serious about working on their electrical system is to start with the EME diagrams, then add on any other diagrams they come across either on the internet, forums or such. St.

I double and triple what Steverankin shares. I'm color blind and having the EME diagrams is a game changer for me especially now that I have graduated to the 12 volt world.

The wiring diagrams sold by EME are from Prospero's Garage. The EME price is the same as on the Prospero's Garage webpage, so one may as well get some other stuff whilst ordering from EME. However, if one has other vehicles for which a wiring diagram would be useful, then it might be worthwhile to check out the others available -
