2025 Grand Coddiwomple registration now open

Ditto. Anxious to see the challenges. But of course, it's only Feb 6 and it's nearly 2 months before we can actually DO anything. Oh, and snow in the forecast tonight...(y)

"The Rules" tell me that the Challenges will be released on March 1... I guess that means six more weeks of winter. Yes, I >did< just get done shoveling the drive and sidewalk for the third time this week. ⛄
I can't remember when they were released last year but hopefully soon. We have to plan!!

Well we didn’t have to wait until March. The challenges have been posted! Yay!! Let the planning begin!
Thanks for the heads up! I wasn't going to check again until the 1st. Not as much "easy pickin's" for an Idaho boy this time... this might take some extra mileage for me to score well. Wait, what? Extra mileage?! I'm in for that!

This year's event should be pretty easy to rack up the points since coffee shops are included in the challenges. I already have let the admins know they have one mistake in the Let's Get It On Challenge with Jeff Ament's hometown being listed as Havre, MT. It's not. Big Sandy, MT is his hometown. Havre would have been his birthplace. There is a difference.

Regardless, I don't see myself competing for the top spot so I will go to my normal 1250 points to match the displacement of my RS. However, I am going to up my personal challenge and do all 1250 point BELOW SEA LEVEL. I pretty much have it all planned so it is clear it's very likely to be done fairly early in the event. Hopefully I won't end up 50 points short of the goal.

What are the odds that everything on the list is underwater?
Not everything, but definitely the coffee shops, and bbq, probably cannons and burros. I only need 25 items to get the 1250 points.

Death Valley isn't the only below sea level place in California. My couch is 32 feet below, our upstairs rooms are 20 feet below and the places north of me are much lower.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought for a moment you lived in New Orleans. Indeed there are places where one is below sea level but still dry ground.

And in the mail today I received my official certificate and a very nice pin for the 2024 Coddiwomple. To all you folks involved in herding the cats, scoring, sending out replacement flags, and generally providing a great time for us all, I can only say BRAVO and Thank You All Very Much!! (and can't wait to start 2025)

As I was reminded last year, you can still start April 1st even if you don't have your flag. As long as you can get your face and the bike in the picture with the challenge, it will count.

I got the email today that the Stacker app is ready to be signed into and I have our (my wife joins me at times) number. We are #82! I thought I might have a lower number but any number will do. Hopefully the flag will follow soon.

Is there a guide for uploading?

I’ve read the PDF, but I presumed I could upload from my phone/tablet. It wants a link.

Image Link(s): Enter the link to your publicly shared photo in the Image Link(s) field.

What should I use for this purpose? I presume this means I have to upload my photo to a 3rd party then get a link to submit with the challenge.
