'17 GS - Edgy at Speed

all good

Installed the Pirelli's 2 weekends ago.
I am very impressed (outside of nice to have new tires) with how they manage a brisk pace on the tarmac and turns.
They fall in quicker the the NEXT for sure, but hold a line through the turns as stable as can be.
How long they'll last we'll find out.
The NEXT rear was shot right at 3000 miles...

Looking at these you'd think they'd be sketchy when running them hard in the canyons, but they are everything that Pirelli claims.
(OEM on Ducati dualsports)

Only drawback I can see is they start to 'talk' between 60-70mph, past 85 that dissipates.
Not a HOWL like the Anakees, just a low rumble. (I wear earplugs and can still hear it).
They feel more capable offroad than the NEXTies too.

Oh, and the edgy front end bumpiness which was the complaint is all but disappeared...
