tpms malfunction

My front tire tire pressure cuts in and out, with yellow warning. I have high mileage 51k ish, is it kaput? And has any of y’all hade a good experience with a different sensor? $275 + mounting is a little high for my tastes… I know I have a premier bike, and should expect premier pricing, but...
