    Did BMW add a paper gasket to help seal joint between engine block and filter cover?

    I've owned my 1991 R100GS since new (March, 1991.) I've typically done most of the routine maintenance over the years, and didn't recall ever installing a thin paper gasket between the block and filter cover. I've ridden the bike very little over the past few years, as I'm approaching 80 years...
