Chain extension
I swapped out the sprockets on my F800GS to 15 and 47 for BDR use. (Yes, I'm getting old.) I've bottomed out the chain adjustment and only have the minimum sag spec in my chain. I am not comfortable with this. I can't find any sort of two link extensions, and yes a new master link too, online... -

2017 F700gs chain wear
I believe I knew the answer to this at one point. If you read the owners manual, it starts off by referencing measure 9 pins. The diagram shows 10 as does the wording below the diagram. Is it 9 or 10 pins?- Drake

Chain and sprocket replacement questions
My chain, and both front and rear sprockets on my 08 F650GS twin are shot. Over 40,000k so they owe me nothing. I'd like to drop one tooth on the front sprocket to give me more low end power. Will my mid range power be affected? Top speed is not an issue as I'll never see it anyway. If I...
