    Airhead gas tank will not unlock correctly. Locking mechanism broken in Cap,

    Since running out of gas through an inability to fill the tank is not a serious option, does anyone have any experience of this error in a forty -year old Beemer airhead, and have any suggestions of things to try to remove the old cap and replace, or alternatively to fix this error?

    1979 BMW R100RT - Gas Cap is Stuck

    Good day to you all and I trust we are all having a good winter? Went to remove the gas cap ona 1979 BMW R100RT and all it does is spins as if it was locked. I have had it off several time previously and was wondering if someone can shed some light on this?
