Randy Nissen has a great looking return route.
This new addition starts near the end of Chad's route in Cornucopia
and goes down to Hwy 70.

This could also be used as an alternate finish to Chad's route
since it runs parallel to it and crosses it a few times.

On the map
Chad's TWT route is in magenta
Randy's route is in red.

Route note:
I rode both routes, but many of the rest of the photos
from highway 70 north to Cornucopia were Randy's route

++++++++++Mason Wisconsin - about 15 miles south west of Ashland, WI.

Below:
Mason railroad depot
Most town on the rails had a depot,
at one time there were upwards of 40,000 RR depots in America,
with only a fraction of that many surviving today

After years of neglect, most depot are not used any more for their original intent,
but are being reclaimed and making a comeback
as community centerpieces.

Just like old churches, it makes my day to find surviving Railroad depots of Wisconsin.
Click on the link for Surviving Wisconsin railroad stations
from St. Paul to Bayfield, WI. this line was used for lumber, minerals, goods, grain and cattle and the mail before the automobile days RR Map

A bonus of the Mason Depot - a ATV trail was next to it on the RR right of way and I explored it a few miles before I decided to return on my TWT adventure

Nice Pix!

Hi Jim,

I always enjoy looking at your photos. You've got a great eye with a camera. Seemed like it was a perfect time of the year for your trip as well. Thanks for sharing!

++++++++++++++++Cannonshot's TransWisconsinAdventureTrail Maps

Thanks Cannonshot and thanks for your and Chad's work on the routes in the GPS file

A question from the TransWisconsinAdventure Trail site

Is there a longer version of the route?

Bryan Much (a.k.a. cannonshot ) used the TWT route and his vast knowledge of Michigan to create a monster route called the Wisconsin - Michigan Dual Sport adventure and its a big loop through Wisconsin and the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan and its 2050 miles long!
