'08 RT - removing heated seat pigtail connector, bike end

W7lej1

Kindly curmudgeon
Anyone know how to disconnect the bike end connector on the "pigtail" for the heated driver's seat? I was not careful, had the seat off, it fell and snapped the itty-bitty wires on the seat connector end. I've ordered a new "pigtail". Thanks for any help!

That connector slides on to the inner fender bracket. There is a small "finger" that needs to be pushed aside to disengage the locking feature. Use a pick and flashlight and poke around under the connector. Remember it slides.... and will break if you force it.

Thanks! I think I know the "finger" that you mention, I'll play around with it in the AM when I have better light.

Thanks! All apart now.

With you two gents' coaching, I was able to get the damaged pigtail disconnected. Now awaiting the new one. Thank you!
