replace the radio with something useful? 2013 R1200RT

I just read a post that implied that the radio 'pocket' could be replaced with a non-radio pocket.

The radio is useless to me. Has anyone done this replacement?

Thx

Check with Beemer Boneyard they might have what you need.

I am looking for a similar solution. Checked with Beamer Boneyard and they say that they do not have any solution to this. Has any one pulled the radio and was it worth it? I also have a 90th Edition Anniversary RT.

Thanks in advance.

The only issue I saw when I was going to do this for someone recently is a way to seal the bottom of glove box where the harness enters. No part listed as a cover/ blank off. A piece of plastic and some sealer no doubt will work. Didn't end up removing for now.
Removal of radio easy after taking sidecover off.
