Riding from Toronto to Mexico

I originally posted in the new riders section but am switching over, makes more sense here. I left Toronto a few days ago, stopped over in Cleveland to check out two halls of fame, Rock and Roll and Pro Football, both great. Yesterday I rode from Cleveland to Winchester, amazing, challenging roads like the SR 148 and SR 800 in Ohio and the crazy US Route 250 South from Moundsville, WV to Grafton and US 50 E in VA.

I'm chilling in Front Royal now but leave bright and early tomorrow morning on the Skyline Drive, relax and watch some football in Waynesboro in the afternoon and then hit the Blue Ridge Parkway on Monday. After that it's Deals Gap and then...? If anyone is interested in joining me for any part of this ride drop me a line. On yeah, I'm riding a 2008 F650GS.

Muchas gracias. I will check out the links shortly. I am super excited to be going back to Barranca del Cobre. I used to live in San Luis Potosi many years ago and travelled to many parts of Mexico. I did the train ride through the canyons and it was amazing. Also visited Batopilas, Creel, Chihuahua and a couple of other places in the area. Me encanta Mexico!

http://www.azbeemers.org/forum/index.php?topic=4504.0 Mike mi Amigo, do you ride off road a lot with your F650GS? If you do you may be interested in a San Miguel y Huasteca ride we AZ Beemers are going on in April of 2015. AZB has previously contracted Skip Mascorro of Moto Discovery for his assistance in our Mexico rides, even though we all live within 100 miles of the border and have been riding our motos into Mexico for many years. On many of our past MEX trips, Skip has put together a package deal much cheaper than we can do it ourselves! Felicidades Abrazo!

Getting the ball rolling for an extensive dirt bike ride to Central Mexico in April of 2015, highlights will be Real de Catorce and Huasteca Waterfalls Region:

Don,
It is so good to hear from you. I count you as one of our most fervent supporters. In fact I thought of you a few weeks ago when I was in Europe running a tour from Zagreb, Croatia to Istanbul and we had Zan Smith and Angela ( New Years Eve San Miguel Allende) with us.
We love anything that goes to Real De Catorce and a chance to return there with you and your amigos would be very exciting. I'm with you on doing the third night.
Lets work on that in the coming months. I'll put something together that is designed just for you and your amigos. Adding some tropical ( the most southern cloud forest in the hemisphere) off road riding in the Huasteca would add another highlight.
I hope to get to Baja this winter. If I find myself in your neighborhood I'll certainly give you a holler.
AS always thanks for your support Don. Felicidades
Abrazo,
Skip

I do some off-roading, quite like it. Time, money, life situation permitting I would love to do that ride. The Huasteca is one of my fave places on earth. Went to a few places in La Huasteca when I live in SLP. Good memories
