New (to me!) '06 RT!

I've had it for 5 weeks and 2,300 miles - and I have totally bonded with this bike! I gave it the 12k service (it has 14k now) and it just purrs. I don't know how I've lived so long without cruise control?

Cheers!

John

My babies. Yes, my RT is missing a mirror because I didn't quite seat it right after replacing my headlights and it fell off on the freeway :(. New one is on order.

New to the R1200R

I'm new to the boxer but falling in love with it now around the 800 mile mark! The last bike was an F650GS twin. The dry clutch is taking a bit of adjustment since I'm used to maximizing the friction zone. The speed and power of this bike is incredible. I'm a convert.:p

The very big island of Hawaii

On my first ride in 3 months on the most beautiful road on the island of Hawaii - the mountain road also known as the 250. The ride is from Waimea to Hawi around 20 miles. I had broken my clavicle on a bike while visiting CA (surgery with plate and 6 screws!). Mauna Kea, Mana Loa, Hualalai and Maui......what a place to live!! :groovy

On our way to the Salem Rally. Photo taken at 10,900 feet just shy of the summit of Beartooth Pass

And another in Badlands NP, shortly before Barley insulted the mother of the largest bull bison on the entire planet and we had to leave in a hurry.

My 90th Jahre RT and my old air head

My 2 Boxer twins 40 years apart.
1973 R75/5 and 2013 R1200RT 90th Jahre. Owned the 73' since 79' and it's been through 2 ground up restorations/ modifications.
Just got the 90th anniversary on July 27, 2013 and have 171 miles on it so far (no time to ride), but really nice bike !!!

Question

Well, not so little really, but still very happy with her, she is one of only 106 like her brought into the USA. This in on our first proper ride together, it's love!!

I'm new to the club and curious to know exactly what model BMW you have that only 106 were made?

The bike looks awesome Bob McKee

Redo in CF

It has been raining lots here, and streets are flooded, never mind trees are down. Also, I am having this coated on matt-finish film this Saturday, so garaged she stays in the meantime.

All but the side tank panels are Carbon Fiber body parts, removing 15+ lbs of weight or so. The local dealership says she is a piece of 2014 art.

One side:

The other side photo is too large so says this site. And, the tires are brand new, so no picking on them.
