2017 Finger Lakes BMW Rally - Watkins Glen, NY

Does anyone know if they still hold a festival in Hammondsport Labor Day weekend?

Don't forget to visit Letchworth State Park on the Genesee River. It's a little known gem of a park.

There's warbird and glider museums near Elmira, but I've never been in either, for some unknown reason.

Are you talking about the Pow Wow in the City Square? It seems to be different every year. Last year just some vendors selling stuff.

Curtiss Museum, Yes, discount with Rally wristband

Stop by old Cabin #3, Now #51, Willow, up past showers on right if you want to see the snoring and farting champions of the world :wave

Thanks for the invite but I think I'm going to pass :)

Did you have a good attendance?

Passed a number of BMW riders going south from the Finger Lakes area. Hopefully, the rally had a good turn-out.

I'm amazed how little traffic this event gets on this forum..................

800 attendee's and NO CHATTER?
That's in BMW ish.

Surely someone has something to complain about:stick

A rally on a holiday weekend......that's bs

520 was the count they gave during awards.

My first time in attendance in many years.
Still a great event, well organized and at a fine facility!
I thought the meals we're very good too.
Beer and Wine for purchase onsite. Nice!
Thanks to all the organizers for their efforts.

Now, lets talk about the attendance. 520. Use to be 1200..............
Very few young riders. LOTS OF GREY HAIR! Mine too.
Where will we be in 5 more years?
Will there be any riders left doing these types of events?
I hope so, as I hope to have 15 or more good years of rally going left in me.

Tks,
jason

Jason,

How is your club doing with the recruitment of younger riders? The Four Winds club seems to have a few younger folks.

We're hijacking this thread........................
We can't recruit any new riders. Young, Old? Male, Female?
