riding up to my friendly semi-local dealer in 40F temps. One minute a 1/4 tank, next second light is on and the miles remaining readout read " -- -- -- --"
They ordered up #8, and just in case a spare one since one they replaced was bad on installation (I think that was #6..)

Do you hold the record?
I was told by one of the parts guys I trust at the dealership that for the past summer and fall the number of strips coming in for replacement seems to have dropped a lot. The strip still has the same PN - but his suspicion is that perhaps the manufacturer improved their QC on them. One can hope..Don
Sorry to hear the bad news.
I am hopeful that one day we will all be writing to express our relief that we never have to replace another failed strip.I am sure a fix is on the way.
Happy Thanksgiving

Can I change my vote? In September my strip took a dump.
2012 R1200R. New strip is better and more accurate. It also leaves 1/2 gallon in the tank when 0 miles to go. Fine with me.
