Battery/ Starting Issue

2014 R1200 GSA with original battery. In the past couple months I have taken the battery tender off and headed out for a ride, and on 2 of those occasions I would reach destination 1 and the bike would not re-start. Seems like a dead battery and a jump pack would eventually re-start the bike. As I stop at destination 2,3, and so on, the bike has no starting issues whatsoever. Will a new battery do the trick, or do I have a bigger issue going on? Just seems weird that the bike starts without issue at home before leaving... Any advise is greatly appreciated!:scratch

Welcome to the forum! Might be worth having the battery load tested at a local auto parts store. 3-4 years on a battery might be pretty darn good!

BTW...one of the moderators will likely move this to the Wethead forum area a little bit later on. :thumb

Thanks Kurt. Hooked the multi meter up and did a load test. Definitely looks like new battery time!
